If you have applied for your CFP at your local sheriff’s office you may check the status of it from here. Please be advised this page will only display “Application received and processing.” or “Processing Completed”.
“Application received and processing” means you have submitted your application and had your photo taken for a permit. The sheriff’s office will forward your application to DCI for further processing. Once DCI has completed their required steps your application will either be approved or denied. The status will then show “Processing Completed”. If your permit is approved, the permit will be mailed to your local sheriff’s office to be issued to you. If your permit is denied, you will receive a denial letter from DCI explaining why it was denied.
